10	10	relating to adding certain synthetic compounds to Penalty Group 2
11	11	of the Texas Controlled Substances Act.
12	12	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
13	13	SECTION 1. Section 481.103, Health and Safety Code, is
14	14	amended by amending Subsection (a) and adding Subsection (c) to
15	15	read as follows:
16	16	(a) Penalty Group 2 consists of:
17	17	(1) any quantity of the following hallucinogenic
18	18	substances, their salts, isomers, and salts of isomers, unless
19	19	specifically excepted, if the existence of these salts, isomers,
20	20	and salts of isomers is possible within the specific chemical
21	21	designation:
22	22	alpha-ethyltryptamine;
23	23	alpha-methyltryptamine;
24	24	4-bromo-2, 5-dimethoxyamphetamine (some trade or
25	25	other names: 4-bromo-2, 5-dimethoxy-alpha-methylphenethylamine;
26	26	4-bromo-2, 5-DMA);
27	27	4-bromo-2, 5-dimethoxyphenethylamine;
28	28	Bufotenine (some trade and other names: 3-(beta-
29	29	Dimethylaminoethyl)-5-hydroxyindole; 3-(2-dimethylaminoethyl)- 5-
30	30	indolol; N, N-dimethylserotonin; 5-hydroxy-N, N-
31	31	dimethyltryptamine; mappine);
32	32	Diethyltryptamine (some trade and other
33	33	names: N, N-Diethyltryptamine, DET);

148	148	extent (including alkyl, alkoxy, alkylenedioxy, haloalkyl, or
149	149	halide substituents), whether or not further substituted in the
150	150	ring system by other substituents;
151	151	(ii) substitution at the 3-position with an
152	152	alkyl substituent; or
153	153	(iii) substitution at the 2-amino nitrogen
154	154	atom with alkyl or dialkyl groups, or inclusion of the 2-amino
155	155	nitrogen atom in a cyclic structure; and
156	156	(B) by example, compounds such as:
157	157	4-Methylmethcathinone (Also known as
158	158	Mephedrone);
159	159	3,4-Dimethylmethcathinone (Also known as
160	160	3,4-DMMC);
161	161	3-Fluoromethcathinone (Also known as 3-FMC);
