A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the release of certain information regarding child
fatalities resulting from abuse or neglect.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 261.203, Family Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (g) to read as follows:
(g) As soon as the information described by Subsections (a)
and (b) is available, the department shall provide the information
to:
(1) the judge of each court in the state having
jurisdiction over child abuse and neglect cases and proceedings;
and
(2) each judge with supervisory authority over a court
having jurisdiction over child abuse and neglect cases and
proceedings.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
