 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to the maintenance of a list of voters whose registrations
 have been recently canceled.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1.  Subchapter A, Chapter 18, Election Code, is
 amended by adding Section 18.014 to read as follows:
 Sec. 18.014.  CANCELLATION LIST. (a) For each election that
 uses county election precincts, the registrar shall prepare a
 registration cancellation list for each precinct.
 (b)  The cancellation list shall contain the name, residence
 address, date of birth, voter registration number, date of
 registration cancellation, and reason for registration
 cancellation for each voter:
 (1)  whose name appeared on the list of registered
 voters in the precinct at any time during the four years immediately
 preceding the date of the election; and
 (2)  whose voter registration is canceled as of the
 date of the election.
 (c)  The secretary of state may adopt rules as necessary to
 implement this section.
 SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
