| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 544.012, Transportation Code, is amended | |
| 12 | 12 | by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (f) A municipality shall install a sign at each intersection | |
| 14 | 14 | at which a photographic traffic monitoring system is in active use | |
| 15 | 15 | and at which turning right is permissible as provided by Section | |
| 16 | 16 | 544.007(d). The sign must indicate the location at which the | |
| 17 | 17 | operator of the vehicle must stop the vehicle when facing a steady | |
| 18 | 18 | red signal to comply with Section 544.007(d). | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. Section 707.003, Transportation Code, is amended | |
| 20 | 20 | by adding Subsection (g-1) to read as follows: | |
| 21 | 21 | (g-1) A local authority shall install a sign at each | |
| 22 | 22 | intersection at which a photographic traffic signal enforcement | |
| 23 | 23 | system is in active use and at which turning right is permissible as | |
| 24 | 24 | provided by Section 544.007(d). The sign must indicate the | |
| 25 | 25 | location at which the operator of the vehicle must stop the vehicle | |
| 26 | 26 | when facing a steady red signal to comply with Section 544.007(d). | |
| 27 | 27 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
