12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 52, Government Code, is | |
14 | 14 | amended by adding Section 52.0441 to read as follows: | |
15 | 15 | Sec. 52.0441. COURT REPORTERS FOR CRIMINAL LAW MAGISTRATES | |
16 | 16 | IN BEXAR COUNTY. Each full-time Bexar County criminal law | |
17 | 17 | magistrate, with the consent and approval of the Commissioners | |
18 | 18 | Court of Bexar County, may appoint an official court reporter to | |
19 | 19 | serve that magistrate. The reporter is a sworn officer of the court | |
20 | 20 | who holds office at the pleasure of the magistrate. | |
21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect October 1, 2011. | |
