99 AN ACT
1010 relating to the appointment of a court reporter by a criminal law
1111 magistrate in Bexar County.
1212 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1313 SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 52, Government Code, is
1414 amended by adding Section 52.0441 to read as follows:
1515 Sec. 52.0441. COURT REPORTERS FOR CRIMINAL LAW MAGISTRATES
1616 IN BEXAR COUNTY. Each full-time Bexar County criminal law
1717 magistrate, with the consent and approval of the Commissioners
1818 Court of Bexar County, may appoint an official court reporter to
1919 serve that magistrate. The reporter is a sworn officer of the court
2020 who holds office at the pleasure of the magistrate.
2121 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect October 1, 2011.
