| 12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Section 172.029(a), Election Code, is amended to | |
| 14 | 14 | read as follows: | |
| 15 | 15 | (a) For each general primary election, the state chair and | |
| 16 | 16 | each county chair shall prepare a list containing: | |
| 17 | 17 | (1) the name of each candidate who files an | |
| 18 | 18 | application for a place on the ballot with the chair, including an | |
| 19 | 19 | application for the office of a political party, as the name is to | |
| 20 | 20 | appear on the ballot; | |
| 21 | 21 | (2) the candidate's address as shown on the | |
| 22 | 22 | application; and | |
| 23 | 23 | (3) the date on which the candidate filed the | |
| 24 | 24 | application. | |
| 25 | 25 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | |
