10 | 10 | relating to the sale of park land owned by certain municipalities. | |
11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 253.001, Local Government Code, is | |
13 | 13 | amended by adding Subsection (l) to read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | (l) Subsection (b) does not apply to a conveyance of park | |
15 | 15 | land owned by a home-rule municipality that: | |
16 | 16 | (1) is located in a county with a population of more | |
17 | 17 | than three million; and | |
18 | 18 | (2) has a population of more than 25,000 and less than | |
19 | 19 | 33,000. | |
20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
21 | 21 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
22 | 22 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
23 | 23 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
24 | 24 | Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | |
