A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the administrative fee charged by the Department of
Information Resources to other entities for the purchase of certain
commodity items.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 2157.068(d), Government Code, is amended
to read as follows:
(d) The department shall [may] charge an [a reasonable]
administrative fee to a state agency, political subdivision of this
state, or governmental entity of another state that purchases
commodity items through the department in an amount equal to two
percent of the price of the commodity items purchased [that is
sufficient to recover costs associated with the administration of
this section].
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
