| 8 | 8 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 9 | 9 | | SECTION 1. Section 152.0031, Human Resources Code, is |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Sec. 152.0031. APPLICATION OF SUBCHAPTER. Except as |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | otherwise provided by this chapter, this [This] subchapter does not |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | apply to a county that is served by a juvenile board created under |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Subchapter C or D. |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | SECTION 2. Section 152.0801, Human Resources Code, is |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Sec. 152.0801. FANNIN COUNTY. [(a)] The Fannin County |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Juvenile Board is governed by Subchapter B [composed of the county |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | judge and the district judges in Fannin County]. |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | [(b) The juvenile court judge is the chairman of the board |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | and its chief administrative officer. |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | [(c) The county commissioners court may pay the juvenile |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | board chairman additional annual compensation of $1,200 for the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | added duties imposed on the chairman. The commissioners court may |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | pay the other members of the board additional annual compensation |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | of not more than $1,200. The additional compensation shall be paid |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | in equal monthly installments from the general fund or any other |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | available fund of the county. |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | [(d) The commissioners court shall certify all claims for |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | expenses of the juvenile probation officer as necessary in the |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | performance of the officer's duties. The commissioners court shall |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | provide the necessary funds to pay the salaries and expenses of the |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | juvenile probation officer. |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | [(e) Sections 152.0002, 152.0004, 152.0005, 152.0006, |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 152.0007, and 152.0008 do not apply to the juvenile board of Fannin |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | County.] |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
