77 relating to the Fannin County Juvenile Board.
88 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
99 SECTION 1. Section 152.0031, Human Resources Code, is
1010 amended to read as follows:
1111 Sec. 152.0031. APPLICATION OF SUBCHAPTER. Except as
1212 otherwise provided by this chapter, this [This] subchapter does not
1313 apply to a county that is served by a juvenile board created under
1414 Subchapter C or D.
1515 SECTION 2. Section 152.0801, Human Resources Code, is
1616 amended to read as follows:
1717 Sec. 152.0801. FANNIN COUNTY. [(a)] The Fannin County
1818 Juvenile Board is governed by Subchapter B [composed of the county
1919 judge and the district judges in Fannin County].
2020 [(b) The juvenile court judge is the chairman of the board
2121 and its chief administrative officer.
2222 [(c) The county commissioners court may pay the juvenile
2323 board chairman additional annual compensation of $1,200 for the
2424 added duties imposed on the chairman. The commissioners court may
2525 pay the other members of the board additional annual compensation
2626 of not more than $1,200. The additional compensation shall be paid
2727 in equal monthly installments from the general fund or any other
2828 available fund of the county.
2929 [(d) The commissioners court shall certify all claims for
3030 expenses of the juvenile probation officer as necessary in the
3131 performance of the officer's duties. The commissioners court shall
3232 provide the necessary funds to pay the salaries and expenses of the
3333 juvenile probation officer.
3434 [(e) Sections 152.0002, 152.0004, 152.0005, 152.0006,
3535 152.0007, and 152.0008 do not apply to the juvenile board of Fannin
3636 County.]
3737 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
3838 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
3939 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
4040 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
4141 Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
