66 AN ACT
77 relating to certain court costs associated with the offense of
88 failing to secure a child passenger in a motor vehicle.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. The following laws are repealed:
1111 (1) Section 545.412(b-1), Transportation Code;
1212 (2) Section 102.104, Government Code; and
1313 (3) Section 102.122, Government Code.
1414 SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only
1515 to an offense committed on or after the effective date of this Act.
1616 An offense committed before the effective date of this Act is
1717 governed by the law in effect when the offense was committed, and
1818 the former law is continued in effect for that purpose. For
1919 purposes of this section, an offense was committed before the
2020 effective date of this Act if any element of the offense was
2121 committed before that date.
2222 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
