99 relating to the duration of a deer breeder's permit.
1010 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1111 SECTION 1. Section 43.352(b), Parks and Wildlife Code, is
1212 amended to read as follows:
1313 (b) At the option of the person applying for the issuance or
1414 renewal of a permit under this section, the [The] department may
1515 issue a permit [under this section] that is valid for [longer than]
1616 one year, three years, or five years. A three-year or five-year
1717 permit is available only to a person who agrees to submit the annual
1818 reports required under this subchapter electronically. The
1919 commission may adopt rules allowing the department to terminate a
2020 permit before the date originally specified for the permit issuance
2121 or renewal if the permit holder fails to submit the annual reports
2222 electronically as required for a three-year or five-year permit.
2323 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2424 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2525 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2626 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2727 Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
