H.R. No. 1246
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned six
decades, Thomas and Ruth Taylor of Quinlan celebrated their 60th
wedding anniversary on March 17, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor exchanged the vows of matrimony
on that memorable day in 1951, and over the course of their
marriage, they have found in each other a devoted life partner; and
WHEREAS, The Taylors count among their blessings a fine
family that includes four sons, Mike, Richard, Mark, and Gary, as
well as six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, with whom
they treasure sharing the many special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past six decades, Thomas and
Ruth Taylor can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and know
that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many
more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Thomas and Ruth Taylor on their
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Taylor as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
