H.R. No. 1287 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of William J. Bartosh of West, who passed away on March 15, 2011, at the age of 79; and WHEREAS, William Bartosh was born in Axtell on September 27, 1931, to John and Mary Bartosh, and received his education at schools in the La Vega school district; answering his nation's call to duty during the Korean War, he served with the United States Air Force as an airplane mechanic; and WHEREAS, After his discharge from the armed forces, Mr. Bartosh worked at the James Connally Air Force Base in Waco for several years before joining the Texas Highway Department, where he put his military training to use as a heavy equipment mechanic; he remained with the department for more than three and a half decades, eventually retiring in 1992; in addition to his work as a mechanic, he was involved in farming and ranching, endeavors he particularly enjoyed; and WHEREAS, Mr. Bartosh and his wife, the former Louise Rauschhuber, were joined in matrimony on April 19, 1958, in Tours; they enjoyed 52 rewarding years together and were blessed with four children, Tom, Michael, Mary, and Theresa, as well as 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan was a valued parishioner at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption; an ardent outdoorsman, he spent much of his free time hunting and fishing; and WHEREAS, While the death of William Bartosh brings great sadness to his family and friends, he leaves behind a rich legacy of memories that will long be treasured by all those who held him dear; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of William J. Bartosh and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his wife, Louise Bartosh; to his children and their spouses, Tom Bartosh and his wife, Carol, Dr. Michael Bartosh and his wife, Kim, and Mary Coleman and her husband, Bill; to his sister-in-law, Rosalie Bartosh; to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of William J.
