H.R. No. 1302
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Loved ones are mourning the loss of Lucy E. Guerra of
Waco, who passed away on March 13, 2011, at the age of 82; and
WHEREAS, Born on March 3, 1929, in Waco, the former Lucy
Espinoza was the daughter of Justo and Pilar Espinoza; she married
Thomas Guerra, Sr., and the couple shared a rewarding relationship
and many happy times with their family until Mr. Guerra's passing;
and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Guerra was the devoted mother of two daughters,
Rebecca and Virginia, and five sons, Charlie, Thomas, Gilbert,
Johnny, and Joe, and she cherished time spent with her numerous
grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Lucy Guerra lived a caring and purposeful life, and
she will forever be remembered with deep affection by all who held
her close to their hearts; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Lucy E. Guerra and
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
daughters and son-in-law, Rebecca Guerra and her husband, Bob
Gaskill, and Virginia Guerra Quintanilla; to her sons and
daughters-in-law, Thomas Guerra, Jr., and his wife, Gloria, Gilbert
Quintanilla and his wife, Lillie, Johnny Gonzalez and his wife,
Margaret, and Joe Gonzalez and his wife, Pauline; to her
grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives
and friends; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lucy
Guerra.
