H.R. No. 1325 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Kimberly Ventura is being honored as an Outstanding Marketing Student by the Texas Career & Technology Council with her receipt of a 2011 Best of Texas Award; and WHEREAS, A senior at Irving High School, Ms. Ventura has distinguished herself through dedication to her studies and through leadership in her school; and WHEREAS, This notable young Texan has participated in a number of activities, including drill team, school spirit group, Project Discovery, volleyball, and student council; moreover, she has served as senior class president and been an officer in both the National Honor Society and DECA; and WHEREAS, During her high school career, Ms. Ventura has been honored with a Community Service Award and Jack Singly Scholarship, placement on the Academic Honor Roll, and magna cum laude recognition; after graduation, she plans to study sports and entertainment marketing in college; and WHEREAS, Kimberly Ventura has demonstrated great ability and perseverance in the pursuit of her goals, and she is a source of pride to her family and peers; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Kimberly Ventura on her receipt of a 2011 Best of Texas Outstanding Marketing Student Award from the Texas Career & Technology Council and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Ventura as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
