H.R. No. 1379
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five
decades, Julio and Refugia Camacho of Lubbock celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary on April 8, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Julio Camacho and the former Refugia Rodriguez
exchanged the vows of matrimony at St. Joseph Catholic Church in
Lubbock on that memorable day in 1961, and over the course of their
marriage, they have found in each other a devoted life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Camacho count among their blessings a
fine family that includes four children, Fred Camacho, Rosemary
Martinez, Ricky Camacho, and Steve Camacho, as well as five
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, with whom they
treasure sharing the many special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past half-century, Julio and
Refugia Camacho can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Julio and Refugia Camacho on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Camacho as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
