R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Bryse Ed was presented a Student Leadership Award by
The University of Texas Cockrell School of Engineering on February
21, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Ed was honored for her organizational
leadership, school service, innovation, and scholarship; she has
shared her time and energy with a number of worthwhile initiatives,
including the Women in Engineering Program, the Society of Women
Engineers, and Women in Aerospace Leadership Development, a group
she helped to establish; and
WHEREAS, A 2007 graduate of Midway High School, this notable
young Texan is a source of great pride to her parents, Bryan and
Julie Ed of McGregor; and
WHEREAS, Bryse Ed is making significant contributions to her
field of study, and she has set an inspiring example of achievement
among her peers; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Bryse Ed on earning a Student
Leadership Award from The University of Texas Cockrell School of
Engineering and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Ed as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
