H.R. No. 1408
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Young people who devote themselves to the pursuit of
academic excellence are indeed deserving of special recognition,
and Shelby Jurek of Hewitt has distinguished herself as one such
individual; and
WHEREAS, A 2009 graduate of Midway High School, Ms. Jurek
attends Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where her
commitment to her studies earned her a place on the Fall 2010 honor
roll; and
WHEREAS, Shelby Jurek has demonstrated outstanding
initiative and determination to succeed, and she may take pride in
this most recent accomplishment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Shelby Jurek on being named to the
honor roll at Oklahoma State University and extend to her sincere
best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Jurek as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
