H.R. No. 1418
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Laroy and Connie Hawkins of Lubbock celebrated their
60th wedding anniversary on March 30, 2011, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, Laroy Hawkins and the former Connie Lloyd exchanged
the vows of matrimony in Muleshoe in 1951, and over the course of
their marriage, they have found in each other a loving life partner;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hawkins count among their blessings a
fine family that includes four children and their spouses, Bryan
and Gina Hawkins, Brenda and Wendell Wood, Cheryl and Doug Karr, and
Daryl and Brenda Hawkins, as well as seven grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren, with whom they share the many special
occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, For six decades, Laroy and Connie Hawkins have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Laroy and Connie Hawkins on their
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hawkins as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
