 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
 mutual devotion and shared experiences, and David and Betty Hester
 of Temple celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on
 March 31, 2011; and
 WHEREAS, David Hester and the former Betty Chapman were
 joined in matrimony in 1961 at a ceremony held in Jacksonville,
 Illinois; through the years, they have been blessed with a
 treasured family that includes 6 children, David, James, Debbie,
 Brenda, Roger, and Archie, as well as 13 grandchildren and 19
 great-grandchildren; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Hester retired after a decade as an electrician
 with the Temple Independent School District and eight years at
 Walmart; also retired, Mrs. Hester was employed by Temple ISD for 10
 years and worked for Mobil Chemical for five years; the couple have
 been respected residents of Temple for more than four decades; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hester have enjoyed a half-century of
 abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an
 exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
 commitment; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate David and Betty Hester on their
 golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
 for continued happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hester as an expression of high regard by
 the Texas House of Representatives.
