 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, April Fry, a sophomore at Winnsboro High School,
 performed at the 75th AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic Halftime Spectacular
 at Dallas Cowboys Stadium on January 7, 2011; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Fry plays saxophone in the Winnsboro High School
 Band and serves as its color guard captain; she was selected for the
 honor of performing at the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic following her
 impressive showing at the Marching Auxiliaries summer camp in
 Shreveport, Louisiana; and
 WHEREAS, One of approximately 30 color guard representatives
 chosen, Ms. Fry performed with more than 400 other high school
 students from across the country during the pregame and halftime
 festivities at the nationally televised game; the students
 entertained the sold-out crowd of over 100,000 with a program that
 featured flags, dancers, rifles, and twirlers; and
 WHEREAS, This talented young Texan's achievements are a
 source of great pride for the Winnsboro Independent School
 District, and her hard work and continuing pursuit of excellence
 will surely open many other doors for her in the years ahead; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate April Fry on being selected to
 perform in the 75th AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic Halftime Spectacular
 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and
 happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for April Fry as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
