H.R. No. 1431
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, December 28, 2010, marked the 50th wedding
anniversary of Gary and Lyle Jean Foster of Mineola, providing a
fitting opportunity to reflect on their memorable journey together
as husband and wife; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Foster were joined in matrimony in 1960
at a ceremony held at First Methodist Church in South Miami,
Florida; through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured
family that includes their children, Jeana, Gary and his wife,
Lane, and Jack and his wife, Margaret, and grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Born in Kansas City, Kansas, Mr. Foster retired
after 32 years as a pilot with Western and Delta Airlines; a native
of Houston, Mrs. Foster spent many years working in the wedding
business; they are valued congregants of Lake Country Bible Church;
and
WHEREAS, The 50 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Foster
have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who
know them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Gary and Lyle Jean Foster on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Foster as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
