H.R. No. 1494
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Gale Moericke is concluding nearly a decade of
outstanding service on the Mansfield Independent School District
Board of Trustees in 2011; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Moericke began his tenure on the board as Place 6
representative in 2002, and through the years he has served as the
board's president and vice president; before running for office, he
contributed greatly to the district's important endeavors through
his participation on a number of school administrative committees;
and
WHEREAS, In addition to his work in education, Mr. Moericke
has benefited his community as a member of the board of directors of
the Chisholm Trail Chapter of the American Red Cross; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Mansfield ISD, Mr. Moericke has spent
more than 28 years in the information technology field, and today,
he is vice president of information services for Womack Machine
Supply; and
WHEREAS, Lending his expertise and wisdom to the cause of
public education, Gale Moericke has distinguished himself as an
advocate for the students of Mansfield ISD, and he may indeed
reflect with pride on his many achievements; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby honor Gale Moericke for his dedicated service as
a member of the board of trustees of the Mansfield Independent
School District and extend to him sincere best wishes for the
future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Moericke as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
