R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of
League City is hosting the inaugural session of the American
Baptist Southeast District Association from May 17 to 19, 2011; and
WHEREAS, This notable event will be moderated by Frank
Celestine, Sr., the pastor of the East Macedonia American Baptist
Church in Houston; the first and second vice moderators are
Dr. William H. King III, pastor of the host church, and the
Reverend E. L. Carroll, pastor of New Harmony Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, The three-day gathering will cultivate Christian
fellowship while also fostering cooperation, unity, evangelism,
and Christian educational outreach among the member churches; and
WHEREAS, By joining together in common purpose, the
congregations of the American Baptist Southeast District
Association are working to realize shared goals and strengthen the
bonds of community, and their efforts are indeed deserving of
special recognition; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby commemorate the inaugural session of the
American Baptist Southeast District Association and extend sincere
best wishes to its participants for a successful gathering; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the association as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
