 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by
 many of this nation's leaders, and the attainment of this
 significant honor by Michael Thomas Volling, Jr., of Georgetown
 also heralds a future bright with opportunity and promise; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Volling has earned 39 merit badges in his quest
 to become an Eagle Scout, and he has gained experience in leadership
 and teamwork while undertaking an Eagle Scout project in which he
 mulched the area around the Georgetown Parks and Recreation
 Department's Challenge Course; he has attended summer camp at Camps
 Sol Mayer, Powhatan, and Pirtle, where he completed the C.O.P.E.
 program, and he has participated in a number of high adventure
 trips; in so doing, he has exemplified the many positive traits for
 which Boy Scouts are renowned; and
 WHEREAS, A junior at Liberty Hill High School, where he is a
 member of the student council and active in the band, this fine
 young Texan plans to attend college to study for a career in
 programming or software design; and
 WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for
 attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Mr. Volling has demonstrated an
 unwavering commitment to the organization and its ideals, and the
 knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the way will indeed
 serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Michael Thomas Volling, Jr., on
 achieving this prestigious rank and extend to him sincere best
 wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Eagle Scout Volling as an expression of high regard by
 the Texas House of Representatives.
