H.R. No. 1646 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Mildred B. Brandon of Irving passed away on April 11, 2011, at the age of 88, leaving her family and friends with many treasured memories of time spent in her company; and WHEREAS, Born on February 13, 1923, in Colorado City, Texas, to James and Lovie Barlow, the former Mildred Barlow moved to Irving in 1945; she was employed as an electrician for 35 years with the Rockwell Collins radio and communications equipment company before retiring in 1988; and WHEREAS, In all of her endeavors, Mrs. Brandon enjoyed the love and support of her husband, Marvin, who preceded her in death; she also took great pride in her family, which included a son, Ernest, and two grandsons, Joey and Aaron; and WHEREAS, Mildred Brandon lived a caring and purposeful life, and she will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have shared in her love and friendship; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Mildred B. Brandon and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her son, Ernest Brandon; to her grandsons, Joey and Aaron Brandon; to her sister, Lynn Campagna; to her nephews, Jeb Barlow and Jeff Weaver and his wife, Lyn; to her nieces, Karen Miller and Kathy DeBussman; to her grand-niece, Mary Weaver; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mildred Brandon.
