H.R. No. 1724
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Clarence and Charlotte Carpenter of Waco celebrated
their 60th wedding anniversary on March 16, 2011, and they may
indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have
shared; and
WHEREAS, In a ceremony performed by the bride's
brother-in-law, the Reverend Aaron Barker, Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter
exchanged the vows of matrimony at Central Christian Church in Waco
in 1951; and
WHEREAS, The couple count among their blessings a fine family
that includes five children, Mark, Bart, Donna, Gahlen, and ZoeAnn,
as well as 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, with
whom they share the many special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, For six decades, Clarence and Charlotte Carpenter
have brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion,
and it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Clarence and Charlotte Carpenter
on their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
