H.R. No. 1850 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Dean B. Stanzione II of Lubbock is graduating from the Institute for Court Management's Court Executive Development Program on May 13, 2011, in a ceremony at the United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.; and WHEREAS, The flagship program of the National Center for State Courts' Institute for Court Management, the CEDP is the only program of its kind in the nation; the Institute for Court Management was formed in 1970 in response to then-Chief Justice Warren E. Burger's call for special training for administrators and managers to improve court administration, allowing judges to devote more time to their primary duty of rendering justice; CEDP program graduates become fellows of the Institute for Court Management, a distinction achieved by only 26 Texans to date; and WHEREAS, Dean Stanzione has served as assistant director of court administration in Lubbock County since 2008; a graduate of Clarendon High School, he received his bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University in 2005; he is a member of the National Association for Court Management; and WHEREAS, Active in the community as well, Mr. Stanzione is a valued member of Southcrest Baptist Church and serves as director of its Young Adults Department; and WHEREAS, Dean Stanzione has gained knowledge and expertise through the Court Executive Development Program that will greatly benefit the Lubbock County judiciary, and he may indeed take pride in the prestigious certification he has earned; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Dean B. Stanzione II on becoming a fellow of the Institute for Court Management and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Stanzione as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
