 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, A life made rich through meaningful service drew to
 a close with the passing of James Robert Morrow, Sr., of Elm Mott on
 April 4, 2011, at the age of 86; and
 WHEREAS, James Morrow was born on October 18, 1924, in
 Trimble, Tennessee, to Elroy and Mamie Hornbeck Morrow; he attended
 school in Yorkville, Tennessee, before answering his nation's call
 to duty and enlisting in the U.S. Navy; he went on to build a
 distinguished 30-year military career that included service in
 World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, and he retired at
 the rank of chief petty officer in 1970; he later ran a taxi service
 in Hanford, California; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Morrow shared more than six decades with his
 wife, the former Ethel Drake, whom he married in 1944 in Wesley,
 Rhode Island; together the couple were blessed with three children,
 Royce, Charles, and James, and they shared in the joy of welcoming
 numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren into their family;
 and
 WHEREAS, Throughout his life, Mr. Morrow took great pleasure
 in reading, traveling, and camping; moreover, he was a proud
 veteran who loved sharing stories of his time in the navy; and
 WHEREAS, While his death has brought great sorrow to all who
 knew him, memories of James Morrow will be forever treasured by all
 who were privileged to share in his love and friendship; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of James Robert Morrow,
 Sr., and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to
 his daughter, Royce Deal, and her husband, Jim; to his sons, Charles
 Morrow and James R. Morrow, Jr.; to his brother, Bobby Morrow, and
 his wife, Bobbie Sue; to his 12 grandchildren, 14
 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and to his
 other relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of James
 Robert Morrow, Sr.
