 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Victor Guerrero III of China
 Spring on March 29, 2011, at the age of 42, has brought a great loss
 to the loved ones of this esteemed Texan; and
 WHEREAS, Born in Irving on August 11, 1968, Mr. Guerrero was
 the son of Gloria Guerrero and Victor Guerrero, Jr.; he grew up in
 Alice and made lifelong friends as a valued member of the Alice Boys
 Club, where he participated in the boxing club, billiards
 tournaments, and many other activities; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Guerrero began working in a local restaurant at
 the age of 12; after graduating from Alice High School in 1986, he
 moved to Waco and began working with Keith Bush at the Golden Fried
 Chicken in Hewitt; it was there that Mr. Guerrero met the love of
 his life, the former Deyanira "Di" Valdez, and the couple married on
 June 22, 1991; they went on to become the proprietors of the Bush's
 Chicken Restaurant franchises in Waco and China Spring; and
 WHEREAS, Devoted to his family, Mr. Guerrero loved to spend
 time with his children, Victor, Christopher, Alyssa Monique, and
 Daisy; he particularly enjoyed taking them to sports activities and
 exercising with his running buddy, "Little Vic"; a fan of the Dallas
 Cowboys and University of Texas teams, Mr. Guerrero also shared
 many happy hours with friends playing golf, poker, and baseball,
 and his outgoing personality shone at big gatherings, such as
 Fourth of July celebrations; and
 WHEREAS, This dynamic Texan demonstrated a strong commitment
 to both the Waco and China Spring communities; he gave generously of
 his financial resources to McLennan Community College and to
 numerous other organizations and individuals, and he
 enthusiastically supported events in the school districts; and
 WHEREAS, Victor Guerrero lived a caring and purposeful life,
 and he leaves behind memories that will be forever treasured by all
 those who were privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Victor Guerrero III
 and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
 wife, Deyanira Valdez Guerrero; to his children, Victor Guerrero
 IV, Christopher Guerrero, Alyssa Monique Guerrero, and Daisy
 Guerrero; to his parents, Victor Guerrero, Jr., and Gloria
 Guerrero; to his sister, Kris Milam, and her husband, Ken; to his
 brother, Albert Guerrero; to his father-in-law and mother-in-law,
 Juan and Guadalupe Valdez; to his brothers-in-law, Juan Valdez,
 Jr., and Edwardo Valdez; to his sisters-in-law, Susanne Chapman,
 Diane Hysaw and her husband, Lanning, Griselda Vences and her
 husband, Serafin, and Brandy Flores and her husband, Stevie; and to
 his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Victor
 Guerrero III.
