H.R. No. 2005
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
passing of Jean R. Ols of Houston on February 19, 2011, at the age of
83; and
WHEREAS, Born on March 21, 1927, in Cleveland, Ohio, Jean Ols
married J. P. Ols, with whom she shared more than six decades of
marriage; the couple were valued members of the Houston community
since 1969, and together they founded and operated Ols Maintenance
Supply; and
WHEREAS, Cherishing her role as a wife and mother, Mrs. Ols
provided a loving home for her husband and their two children, Susan
and Joe; later in life, she enjoyed doting on her five grandchildren
and her great-grandson; and
WHEREAS, Although Jean Ols will be deeply missed, cherished
memories of time spent in her company will long endure in the hearts
of her family and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Jean R. Ols and extend
sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her husband, J. P.
Ols; to her daughter, Susan Culp, and her husband, Howard; to her
son, Joe Ols; to her grandchildren, Kevin Culp and his wife, Leslie,
and Emily, Stephen, Michelle, and Brian Culp; to her
great-grandson, Cameron; to her brother, David, and his wife,
Nancy; to her sister, Ruth Hahn; and to her other loved ones; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jean R.
Ols.
