H.R. No. 2101
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Residents of Missouri City have greatly benefited
from the dedicated leadership of Danny Nguyen during his tenure
with the city council; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Nguyen has ably guided the municipality with an
eye to the future while representing Position 2, and his expertise
in a range of community issues has earned him widespread respect;
and
WHEREAS, In addition to his efforts with the Missouri City
Council, Mr. Nguyen serves as chair of the Houston Mayor's
International Trade and Development Council for Asia and Australia;
previously, his work has benefited the Tax Increment Reinvestment
Zone No. 3, Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee, and Quail Valley
Acquisition Feasibility Committee; he has also founded and led the
International Entrepreneur Society at his alma mater, Texas A&M
University, and the Vietnamese American Houston Chamber of
Commerce; and
WHEREAS, This notable Texan is a certified commercial
investment member and the owner of Danny Nguyen International, a
commercial real estate investment, development, and brokerage
company; he has shared his time with a number of real estate
organizations, as well as with the Oyster Creek Rotary Club, and he
has been awarded several honors for his many professional and civic
contributions; and
WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of
life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts
of Danny Nguyen have helped to make Missouri City a better place in
which to live and work; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby honor Danny Nguyen for his committed public
service and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Nguyen as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
