H.R. No. 2145 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, During the 82nd Legislative Session, Brian C. Mitchell of San Marcos served his fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative Jason Isaac; and WHEREAS, In his role as an intern, Mr. Mitchell has gained firsthand knowledge of the governmental process and work experience in a political environment, as well as insight into the issues facing our communities and state today; he has brought a high level of dedication, enthusiasm, and care to his duties, which have included responding to constituent requests, providing administrative assistance to the policy director, and researching and organizing a student legislative forum at Texas State University; and WHEREAS, Mr. Mitchell is studying political science and communications at TSU, where he has served as chair and director of public relations for the College Republicans; he has also worked as an intern in the Washington office of Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison; and WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has made valuable contributions to the State of Texas during the current legislative session, and it is most fitting to recognize him for a job well done; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby commend Brian C. Mitchell for his service as an intern in the office of State Representative Jason Isaac and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Mitchell as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
