H.R. No. 2157 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, During the 82nd Legislative Session, James Zhu has ably served his fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative Van Taylor; and WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Zhu has contributed to the workings of state government firsthand; in addition to greeting visitors and answering phone calls, he has assisted with bill reading group assignments and bill analyses and opened and distributed mail; he also helped to organize more than 2,000 replies to a constituent survey, entering all of the responses into a spreadsheet and analyzing the results; and WHEREAS, Mr. Zhu is a former resident of Plano; he is currently studying at The University of Texas at Austin; and WHEREAS, This noteworthy young Texan has performed his duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby commend James Zhu for his service as a legislative intern in the office of State Representative Van Taylor and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all his future endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Zhu as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
