H.R. No. 2160 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Madeleine Bell has done outstanding work throughout the 82nd Legislative Session as a scheduler and legislative aide in the office of State Representative Van Taylor; and WHEREAS, Juggling many responsibilities, Ms. Bell organized constituent and legislative meetings, supervised interns, arranged tours, and scheduled events; she managed more than 5,000 incoming e-mails, faxes, letters, and other items of correspondence, drafting responses and addressing district and constituent concerns; and WHEREAS, Ms. Bell oversaw the honoring of United States military active duty service members and veterans at the State Capitol on Iraq Liberation Day; she also helped to perform legislative research and accurately and reliably represented office positions on legislative matters; and WHEREAS, Handling the hectic pace and constant demands of the session with professionalism, skill, and exceptional attention to detail, Madeleine Bell has made important contributions to the legislative process, to the constituents of House District 66, and to the State of Texas, and it is most fitting to recognize her for a job well done; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby commend Madeleine Bell for her service as a scheduler and legislative aide in the office of State Representative Van Taylor and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Bell as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
