 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, During the 82nd Legislature, James W. Carter has
 ably served his fellow Texans as legislative director in the office
 of State Representative Linda Harper-Brown; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Carter's resourcefulness and initiative are
 greatly appreciated by his colleagues, and his contributions to
 carrying forth Representative Harper-Brown's legislative agenda
 have helped meet the needs of the constituents of House District
 105; and
 WHEREAS, A graduate of Texas Christian University with a
 bachelor's degree in political science and economics, Mr. Carter
 has previously served as vice president of the Magnolia Group in
 Dallas, and in 2010, he managed the successful election campaign of
 State Representative Stefani Carter; and
 WHEREAS, In addition to his professional responsibilities,
 Mr. Carter has given back to his community as a tutor in the Fort
 Worth school system, a volunteer instructor for the Presidential
 Classroom program, and a volunteer home builder with Habitat for
 Humanity in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina; and
 WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed his
 duties as legislative director with skill and determination, and he
 is indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby commend James W. Carter for his service as
 legislative director in the office of State Representative Linda
 Harper-Brown and extend to him best wishes for continued success in
 all his endeavors; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Carter as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
