 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
 of Maria Emma Castro of Waco, who passed away on April 17, 2011, at
 the age of 88; and
 WHEREAS, Born on February 26, 1923, in Rosebud to Francisco
 and Concha Rivera Segovia, the former Maria Segovia was one of eight
 children; she married Antonio Castro in Waco in 1944, and the couple
 welcomed two children into their family before his passing; and
 WHEREAS, A retired seamstress, Mrs. Castro was a member of
 Sacred Heart Catholic Church and First Spanish Assembly of God and
 also participated with the Sociedad Mutualista Mexicana de
 Jornaleros; and
 WHEREAS, Maria Castro lived a caring and purposeful life, and
 those who were privileged to share in the joy of her company will
 forever hold her close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Maria Emma Castro
 and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
 children, Tony Castro and his wife, Renee LaSalle, and Dora
 Rodriguez and her husband, Pat Rodriguez; to her grandchildren,
 Angela Dawn Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez, Trey LaSalle-Castro, and
 Ryan LaSalle-Castro; to her brother, Jesse Segovia and his wife,
 Modesta; to her sisters, Reyna Ursua and her husband, Luciano, and
 Lydia Perez; to her sister-in-law, Matilda Castro; and to her other
 relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Maria Emma
 Castro.
