H.R. No. 2221
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The loved ones of Martha Louise "Suzie" Hamilton of
Waco were greatly saddened by her passing on April 18, 2011, at the
age of 88; and
WHEREAS, A native of Waco, the former Martha Haeft was born on
December 20, 1922, to Otto and Bertha Haeft; she married Renfro
Hamilton, and the couple were blessed with a son, Tommy; and
WHEREAS, Through the years, Mrs. Hamilton also served as a
source of wisdom and inspiration to her grandson, Mike, and her
great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Although she will be deeply missed, memories of this
beloved woman will be forever treasured by those who were fortunate
enough to share in the richness of her life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Martha Louise "Suzie"
Hamilton and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family:
to her son, Tommy; to her grandson, Mike; to her
great-grandchildren; to her sister, Dorothy Tynes; and to her other
relatives and friends; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Suzie
Hamilton.
