H.R. No. 2234 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories of Richard Buck Ashley of Waco, who died on April 19, 2011, at the age of 52; and WHEREAS, Richard Ashley was born in Waco on July 12, 1958, to Travis and Misao Ashley; after attending University High School, he earned an associate's degree in business from McLennan Community College; and WHEREAS, Mr. Ashley served as an assistant manager in the shipping department at the Army and Air Force Exchange Distribution Center for 22 years; he further distinguished himself by answering his nation's call to duty and serving in the U.S. Naval Reserves for six years; and WHEREAS, A devoted father, Mr. Ashley delighted in the company of his son, Bailey; and WHEREAS, Although he will be deeply missed, Richard Ashley will long be remembered by all those who shared in his love and friendship; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Richard Buck Ashley and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his son, Bailey A. Ashley; to his brothers, Travis B. Ashley and his wife, Louwana, and Eldon R. Ashley and his wife, Tamara; to his sisters, Gloria High and her husband, Boyd, and Linda Eastep and her husband, Joseph; to his uncles, Yutaka Kudo and Lloyd Ashley; to his six nieces, five nephews, three great-nieces, and six great-nephews; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Richard Buck Ashley.
