No. 2383 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, During the 82nd Legislative Session, Felicia Pilar Pena has skillfully served her fellow Texans as assistant clerk for the House Committee on Technology; and WHEREAS, Ms. Pena's work ethic contributed greatly to the efficient progress of the committee's deliberations, and she ably assisted the public with inquiries concerning the committee's work; and WHEREAS, A senior at The University of Texas at Austin, Ms. Pena is pursuing a dual major in sociology and communications studies, with a certificate degree in social entrepreneurship; she has volunteered abroad in Ghana, and she has served as vice president of the Student Event Center and as co-director of the Latino Leadership Council; and WHEREAS, Approaching her responsibilities with intelligence and professionalism, Ms. Pena has provided invaluable support to the legislative process during the current session, and it is most fitting to recognize her for a job well done; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby commend Felicia Pilar Pena for her service as assistant clerk for the House Committee on Technology and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Pena as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
