 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
 by a great and enduring love, Lawrence and Patty Fuller of Midland
 celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on May 18, 2011; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Fuller met while playing bridge at the
 University of Oklahoma student union, and they were united in
 matrimony in Norman, Oklahoma, in 1946; through the years, they
 have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer
 with the addition of three children, Tricia, Doug, and Gary, and
 five grandchildren, Jay, Monica, Blaine, Colin, and Kendall; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Fuller is retired from a notable career with
 Gulf Oil, and Mrs. Fuller worked for the Norman newspaper before
 becoming a homemaker; they have resided in Midland for more than six
 decades; and
 WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the
 world during the past six and a half decades, this devoted husband
 and wife have remained constant in their commitment to one another,
 and the strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's
 challenges and opportunities with grace and optimism; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Lawrence and Patty Fuller on their
 65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
 continued happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Fuller as an expression of high regard by
 the Texas House of Representatives.
