H.R. No. 2497
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Members of the Southwest Dallas County Democrats
play an active and vital role in their North Texas community; and
WHEREAS, Since its founding, the organization has been
dedicated to educating area residents on relevant political issues
and encouraging citizens to vote; the group has provided
opportunities for area residents to meet Democratic candidates and
has worked to promote communication between party members in the
region; and
WHEREAS, Through their grassroots activism, the men and women
of the Southwest Dallas County Democrats are making a lasting
difference in their city, state, and nation, and they may take
justifiable pride in their accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby honor the members of the Southwest Dallas County
Democrats for their civic engagement and extend to them sincere
best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
