H.R. No. 2520
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Dr. Tarron Richardson assumed his new position as
city manager of DeSoto on May 1, 2011; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of the School of Government and Public
Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Richardson began
his career with the City of Richmond, serving as project manager of
council relations for the city manager; and
WHEREAS, He went on to hold a number of challenging posts,
including assistant to the chief administrative officer for
legislation and deputy director of public utilities in Richmond and
assistant city manager and acting city manager for the City of
Coatesville, Pennsylvania; he joined the City of DeSoto in 2009 as
assistant city manager; and
WHEREAS, Tarron Richardson has worked diligently in behalf of
the citizens of DeSoto, and his experience, vision, and
characteristic commitment to excellence will continue to benefit
his fellow residents as he undertakes his new responsibilities;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Tarron Richardson on his
appointment as city manager of DeSoto and extend to him sincere best
wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Dr. Richardson as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
