 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Nicholas Charles McAtee of Milam County has attained
 the rank of Eagle Scout, and this accomplishment truly merits
 special recognition; and
 WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant
 honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the
 scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding
 criteria, Mr. McAtee earned the requisite 21 merit badges, and for
 his Eagle Scout project, he planted six live oak trees and
 implemented a drip irrigation system at Sts. Cyril and Methodius
 Catholic Church--Marak; and
 WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding
 leadership ability throughout his scouting career, winning the
 respect and admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the
 highest rank that scouting offers; and
 WHEREAS, In addition to devoting time to academic pursuits at
 Cameron Yoe High School, Mr. McAtee plays the French horn in the
 school band and was named to the All-Region 8 band in December; his
 extracurricular interests have included appearing in Milam
 Community Theater productions; and
 WHEREAS, Eagle Scout McAtee's dedication to excellence and
 his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy
 to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with
 pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Nicholas Charles McAtee on
 achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best
 wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. McAtee as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
