H.R. No. 2588 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, The dedication of John Sauter Memorial Park in Cinco Ranch on June 6, 2011, provides a fitting opportunity to pay tribute to the life and achievements of the park's namesake, who passed away on October 10, 2010, at the age of 53; and WHEREAS, Born in Michigan in 1957, John Charles Sauter was the son of Charles and Barbara Sauter; he embarked on a notable career in the water and wastewater industry and joined Am-Tex Corporation in 1985; rising through the ranks, he became an area manager in 2002 and was the operator for Cinco Municipal Utility District Number One and all of Cinco Ranch and was a director of the Fort Bend Municipal Utility District Number Two; demonstrating exceptional leadership and skill, he instituted measures to enhance public safety and ensure reliable service even during a natural disaster; he trained many people in the industry through the years and instilled a devotion to high standards, and he was also involved in the establishment of the North Fort Bend Water Authority; and WHEREAS, Mr. Sauter was the devoted husband of Nancy Sauter and proud father of Kelsey and Lindsey Sauter; he spent countless happy hours riding with his daughters and helping them with their horses and 4-H animals; a true family man, he cherished close relationships with his relatives back in Michigan; he enjoyed playing golf with his friends as well; and WHEREAS, Through his tireless commitment to excellence in the water industry, John Sauter greatly benefited innumerable Texans, and although he is deeply missed, his contributions will continue to resonate in his community for years to come; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of John Charles Sauter and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his wife, Nancy Sauter; to his daughters, Lindsey and Kelsey Sauter; to his brothers, James Sauter and his wife, Theresa, Stephen Sauter and his wife, Susan, and Michael Sauter and his wife, Diane; to his sisters, Julie Haines and her husband, Joe, Mary Jo Deering and her husband, Ken, and Sarah Kwaske and her husband, Tim; and to his many other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of John Charles Sauter.
