R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The loved ones of Joe Alba were greatly saddened by
his passing on April 28, 2011, at the age of 76; and
WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Joe Alba was born in
Rosebud on February 15, 1935, to Luis Alba and Costancio Torres; and
WHEREAS, Through the years, this beloved man served as a
source of affection and inspiration to his family, which included
four siblings, Helen, Lupe, George, and Danny; and
WHEREAS, Joe Alba enjoyed a life that was rich in the
intangibles that matter most, and he is deeply missed by all those
who held him dear; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Joe Alba and extend
sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his sisters, Helen
Torres and Lupe Alba; to his brothers, George Alba and Danny Torres;
and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Joe Alba.
