H.R. No. 2687
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by a great and enduring love, Dean and Lorean Evans of Lamesa
celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on May 10, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Evans were united in matrimony in
Carnegie, Oklahoma, in 1941; through the years, they have nurtured
a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the
addition of their children, Connie and Jerry McKibben, Doris
Curbow, Dee and John Brannon, Eddie and Janet Evans, and Lacy and
Sandra Evans; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Evans is a retired mechanic, and Mrs. Evans has
been a dedicated homemaker throughout their marriage; and
WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the
world during the past seven decades, this devoted husband and wife
have remained constant in their commitment to one another, and the
strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges
and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Dean and Lorean Evans on their 70th
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Evans as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
