H.R. No. 2696
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, July 28, 2010, marked a special event in the lives of
Emily and Dennis Speight of Austin, for on that day they became the
proud parents of a beloved daughter, Elizabeth Ann "Ellie" Speight;
and
WHEREAS, This adorable baby girl weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces,
and measured 19.25 inches in length when she made her long-awaited
arrival at 10:13 a.m.; and
WHEREAS, Ellie's birth has brought great happiness to her
parents and her big brother, Evan Walker Speight, as well as to her
grandparents, Calvin and Charlene Speight, Judith Ann Sadegh, and
Abolghassem Sadegh, and to her great-grandparents, Willie Mae
Marks, Ceole Speight, and Mary Elizabeth Petry; and
WHEREAS, Ellie Speight begins her life sheltered in the warm
embrace of her family, and with their support and guidance, she may
indeed look forward to a bright and promising future; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Emily and Dennis Speight on the
birth of their daughter and that Elizabeth Ann Speight be welcomed
as a new citizen of Texas; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the family as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
