 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, At a special presentation on March 22, 2011, the
 Boys & Girls Club in Garland received a generous donation of $10,000
 from the Professional Football Players Mothers Association; and
 WHEREAS, The Professional Football Players Mothers
 Association works to educate and inform mothers about the business
 of professional football and to enhance the public image of
 professional football players, while also giving back to the
 community; the money for the donation was raised through events the
 PFPMA sponsored during Super Bowl XLV in Arlington; and
 WHEREAS, Presenting the check were Sharon Stoutmire, mother
 of former Dallas Cowboy and New York Giant Omar Stoutmire,
 Elizabeth Peprah, mother of Charlie Peprah of the World Champion
 Green Bay Packers, and Peggy Jones, mother of former Giant and
 Chicago Bear Daryl Jones; the funds will be used for updating
 computer resources available for the youth attending the Boys &
 Girls Club after-school activities; and
 WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Salvation Army, the Boys & Girls
 Club in Garland is providing praiseworthy services that benefit
 area residents, and the support provided by the football players'
 mothers will make a lasting and positive difference in the lives of
 many; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby honor the Professional Football Players Mothers
 Association for its donation to the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club
 in Garland and extend to the members of the association best wishes
 for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the PFPMA as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
