 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Words cannot express the sorrow felt at the loss of
 U.S. Border Patrol Agent Eduardo Rojas, Jr., who died in the line of
 duty on May 12, 2011, at the age of 34; and
 WHEREAS, While assisting other agents in tracking illegal
 immigrants near Gila Bend, Arizona, Agent Rojas and another Border
 Patrol agent were killed when their vehicle was struck by a train;
 and
 WHEREAS, A native of El Paso, Eddie Rojas was born to Eduardo
 Rojas, Sr., and Maria Rojas on October 14, 1976, his father's
 birthday; he graduated from Irvin High School in 1995, and in 2009,
 he married Sayde Fregozo; he was the devoted father of two children,
 Hazzel and Dante Eduardo; and
 WHEREAS, Agent Rojas served 11 years with the Border Patrol
 and earned the respect and admiration of his fellow agents over the
 course of his tenure; at the time of his death, he was a lead agent
 in the Border Patrol's Yuma, Arizona, Sector; and
 WHEREAS, Known for his positive energy and his kind and
 gregarious nature, Eddie Rojas enjoyed spending time outdoors and
 especially delighted in grilling for his family and friends;
 although his life ended far too soon, he will forever be remembered
 with deep affection by all those who held him dear; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Eduardo Rojas, Jr.,
 and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
 wife, Sayde Fregozo; to his children, Dante and Hazzel; to his
 parents, Eduardo Rojas, Sr., and Maria C. Rojas; to his brother,
 Adrian Rojas, and his wife, Katherine; to his sister, Brenda
 Quintana, and her husband, Gregorio; to his nephews, Adrian A.
 Rojas and Damian, Christopher, Gilbert, and Edgar Quintana; to his
 nieces, Arianna Rojas and Miranda Jordan; and to his other
 relatives and many friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Eduardo
 Rojas, Jr.
